We announce significant developments in our cases through a press release. These are mostly about the outcome of prosecutions. However, the opening of an investigation or the charging of suspects may be announced if it is thought to be in the public interest.

Press releases also announce the publication of statutory reports or on other issues related to the work of the SFO.

Reporting restrictions

Contempt of court orders prohibit publicity about trials or convictions where future proceedings may be jeopardised. We endeavour to issue a press release as soon as the restrictions are lifted.
