The SFO's Press Office deals with enquiries from the press on all aspects of our work, including:
- interview requests
- requests for facts, figures and statements
- background research on cases and individuals
- keeping data on prosecution results.
Reporting restrictions
Where publicity might jeopardise future proceedings, the court issues contempt of court orders. These prevent us from issuing any comment about the trials or convictions concerned. We always try to issue a press release as soon as the restrictions are lifted.
