The Criminal Justice System (CJS) is one of the major public services in England and Wales.
Agencies which work together as part of the CJS include:
- Police
- Crown Prosecution Service
- The courts
- National Offender Management
They are overseen by three government departments: the Ministry of Justice, the Home Office and the Attorney General's Office.
